Mathematical modeling of the aerodynamic coefficients of a sail blade

Abstract The authors of the work numerically studied aerodynamic coefficients sail blade, during which patterns three-dimensional flow around airflow and pressure distribution field were obtained. triangular blade is used as power element wind turbines. modeling was based on Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes equations (RANS) using ANSYS FLUENT computer program. A pattern obtained, gives a physical explanation nature field. Comparative analyses theory experiment are given. In range Reynolds numbers from 0.5 × 10 4 to 2.5 , change in drag force coefficient 1.04 0.54, difference lift 0.52 0.33.
